LUPO LUNCH CLUB - OTTOBRE 2019

Ciao. This October we are serving up pumpkin from our allotment. You wouldn't believe how big some of them have grown! I will share my tip (given to me by my wise Armenian neighbour) - dig a small hole, pop the seed in then fill the hole with horse manure. The nutrient rich ground gives the little seed a lot of help at the beginning and is soft enough for the baby plant to push through. Anyway, lunch club for October:

Lunch Club Menu – 12 October 2019

1.

Involtino di melanzane: thin slices of fried aubergine wrapped with Italian cooked ham, home-made cherry tomato sauce and mozzarella.

OR

Burrata

Fresh Italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream. Hard on the outside, soft on the inside (another level compared to Buffalo Mozzarella). Topped with Puglian EVO. Served with bitter-sweet pepper and homemade focaccia.

Zucchine ripiene

Courgettes stuff with organic Lancashire beef ragu sauce mixed with pane raffermo and Parmesan cheese (24-months aged). Served with leaves and cherry tomatoes.

Lasagna di zucca

Wheat-durum lasagna with organic pumpkin*, mushrooms, bechamel, scamorza cheese and parmesan cheese (24-months aged). Served with leaves and cherry tomatoes.

3.

Torta della nonna

Originally from the Chianti area this light tart is an absolute classic. The home-made crostata tart shell is filled with fresh custard with lemon zest and topped with roasted pine nuts.
